Jess immigrated to the USA from England where she earned her Undergraduate Degree in
Equestrian Training and Equine Management. She is a Certified Instructor of Dressage by the
British Horse Society having qualified at the youngest age allowed by the Society with highest
marks for Riding, Equine Management, Teaching and Coaching.  

 

Jess began her riding career in England as an Eventer training under William Fox-Pitt. When her Event-horse needed a new job, Jess transitioned to Dressage under Francis (“Fran”) Turner and Conrad Schumacher, who helped Jess achieve multiple National British Titles.

 

Jess founded Right Start Equestrian in Dorset, England where she trained 24 horses from Start to Grand Prix. Jess’ unique strength is her ability to revive horses and riders, who have been pushed too hard, too quickly, or trained incorrectly. Her kind and patient demeanor together with her solid, classical Dressage skills help horse and rider to achieve balance and confidence, which produce consistent results. 

 

Jess now resides in the Ocala area and regularly competes her own horses and clients’ horses in Nationally Recognized Competitions where she has achieved many scores at FEI Level in the high
60’s and 70’s percentile. She is currently preparing 2 of her own horses for CDI competitions.
